SIX TIP FOR CHOOSING RIGHT BRIDAL WEDDING JEWELRY
Unfortunate fact is that most of us are not a fabulous zillionaire model or actress with access to the finest gems and diamond. But that does not mean you can not get some sparkles and a fabulous glow to your wedding day. Here are some of the tips by our resident specialist Hanna Robertson on how to really shine on your most important day.
1. Faking its OK! : These days the quality of faux diamonds, faux gems, and faux pearls is amazing. Gone are the days when one can tell from 'real' wedding jewelry to 'fake' wedding jewelry. In fact these days, it would take your gemologist to tell the difference between them. So this is good news as we can all add million dollars sparkles without a million dollars.
2. Match Match : You have to Match Match and Match. Choices you make on wedding jewelry will depend on the neckline of your gown, the type of necklace you are wearing, and how you will be wearing your hair. For example, a pearl collar will hang in the middle of the neck so it go well with a V-necks, plunged necks or off the shoulder gowns. Chokers will work with any gown neckline.
3. Family Heirloom Sparkle : If you are lucky enough to have a fabulous piece of family heirloom jewelry, your wedding would be a perfect time to wear it. Don't be shy and ask your family or friends. They will be honored that you asked. It would be much more meaningful to wear something that has some emotional attachment to you.
4. Color is in : Adding color to your wedding ensemble is definitely a 'hot' statement. Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires are adorned wedding jewelry either real or fake, as well as colored pearls from silver to bright pink is definitely IN this season.
5. Hair Control : The choices you have for your wedding jewelry in your hair are endless. Tiara's are very 'hot' right now. But putting together a necklace and a tiara might be a bit too much. Complementing your necklace with sparkling rhinestone clips and pins are a good idea.
6. Gown is still the Queen : Remember, your wedding gown should still be the center of attention. Whatever choice you make on wedding jewelry, make sure it complements your wedding gown, not over power it.
